Hello my K-culture loving friends! 💖

Are you planning that dream trip to Jeju Island? I bet your daytime schedule is packed with waterfalls, cute cafes, and beautiful hikes. But what about after the sun goes down?

If you’re into K-Anime and K-POP, I have a night experience you will absolutely love: Lumiverse! It’s a stunning media art festival held at Jeju Folk Village—the exact place that inspired scenes in the hit animation K-POP Demon Hunters!

In this guide, I’ll share why this magical spot is a must-see for fans and how to get there without any stress. ✨

📍 Where the Mission Begins: A K-POP Demon Hunters Dream!

Remember Lumi, Mira, and Joey from K-POP Demon Hunters? They’re the amazing members of the K-pop group Huntrix, who are entrusted with the mission of fighting evil spirits. 👊

Well, the mystical place where they first receive their roles is inspired by Jeju Folk Village! It’s a real-life heritage village with traditional thatched-roof houses, stone walls, and ancient trees. As I walked through it, I truly felt like I’d stepped right into the animation, walking beside Huntrix.

💡 My K-Friend Tip: Fans say the Seonangdang (village shrine) inside the village is the perfect real-world match for the “sacred tree” scene in the anime. You have to check it out!

✨ What to Expect at Lumiverse: A Nighttime Fantasy!

As soon as the sun sets, the real magic begins. The entire village transforms into Lumiverse, a media art festival that mixes light, sound, and Jeju’s ancient myths into one unforgettable experience.

Here’s what you’ll get to see:

  • Glowing History: Traditional houses light up with colorful, moving projections.
  • Mythical Pathways: You’ll walk through themed light zones based on Jeju’s traditional stories.
  • Total Immersion: The air is filled with beautiful music, and you might even see character parades!
  • Perfect Photo Ops: Honestly, every corner is an Instagrammable spot that looks straight out of a fantasy film. 📸

It’s such a unique and immersive way to enjoy the island after dark.

🚖 Getting Home? Let’s Make it Easy!

Okay, let’s talk logistics. Jeju Folk Village is in Pyoseon, on the southeastern side of the island. It’s absolutely beautiful, but getting back to your hotel in Jeju-si or Seogwipo-si late at night can be tricky. Trying to figure out night buses or catch a taxi in a quieter area can be stressful.

After such a magical night, the last thing you want is a stressful trip home, right? 😥

That’s why I truly recommend using K.RIDE! It’s the taxi-hailing app I always suggest to my friends visiting from other countries. It’s designed just for you and works perfectly all over Jeju Island.

Here’s why I love K.RIDE for travelers:

  • Multi-language app support: The app works smoothly in English, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional). No more guessing buttons!
  • Foreign card-friendly: This is the best part! You can register your international credit card right in the app. No fumbling for Korean cash or worrying if your card will be accepted.
  • Automatic destination translation: This is my favorite feature. The app automatically translates your destination for the driver. No need to try and explain your hotel’s address!
  • Fair pricing: The app runs on a fair, standard meter fare, so you never have to worry about being overcharged. You can just relax and enjoy the ride.

Just open K.RIDE, set your destination, and your safe, reliable ride will be on its way.
